Many GWM Cannon owners report noisy, faulty wiper blades straight from the factory—a common issue that GWM seems unwilling to fix without a fight. While cleaning the blades with cleaning vinegar (not regular vinegar) and polishing the glass with glass polish can help, it shouldn’t be necessary on a brand-new vehicle.
Unfortunately, dealerships selling GWM vehicles will refuse to replace them under warranty becaues its a wear and tear item unless you make a scene—something you shouldn’t have to do for a simple defect. Save your energy for bigger battles, like premature engine or transmission failures, where the fight is warranted—either passing the buck or dragging their feet. This doesnt just happen with GWM, also other brands are very much the same, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc
If cleaning doesn’t work, you’ll likely need new wiper blades. Rather than dealing with your dealers poor customer service, many owners opt for aftermarket replacements (linked below).
